  11. QUAD-FAT SUPERDEBUGGER 3.8 WITH NEW FEATURES AND PRICING AVAILABLE

  14. Publishing, Inc. today announced the availability of a new Quad-FAT
  15. version 3.8 of its SuperDebugger(tm) product, a program which helps
  16. reduce application development time by providing a more powerful,
  17. easy-to-use, and faster debugging environment.
  18.  
  19. SuperDebugger, which began shipping in June, 1993, is compiled
  20. Quad-FAT and will run on HP PA-RISC, SPARC, Intel, and NeXT hardware.
  21. Version 3.8 contains the following new features and improvements:

  23. 1. The problem of communicating with the updated version of
  24.    gdb in NEXTSTEP Developer 3.3 has been fixed.
  25.  
  26. 2. The ability to set customized actions for the right mouse click
  27.    using the Preferences panel has been added.
  28.  
  29. 3. A new SuperDB program has been provided to easily open a program
  30.    for debugging from the ProjectBuilder.
  31.  
  32. 4. Modifications were made so that Rich Text Format files with
  33.    colored comments could be edited in the Source window.
  34.  
  35. 5. Help documentation has been updated and improved, with a Power
  36.    Tips, Tutorial, and Troubleshooting sections added.
  37.  
  38. 6. The license panel has been enhanced so that payment information
  39.    for orders will be automatically encrypted using an advanced
  40.    time-variant probabilistic encryption with a unique identification
  41.    stamp. (This encryption is more advanced than public key encryption,
  42.    and is even more secure.)

  44. SuperDebugger is available direct from Impact Software and through
  45. authorized NEXTSTEP resellers. Information about quantity discounts

  48. SuperDebugger 3.8 simplifies debugging by providing an intuitive
  49. graphical interface with many enhancements and features to save time.
  50. It features dynamic display of source-level execution, point and
  51. click setting of breakpoints, savable debugging environments,
  52. user-definable macros, a variable contents display, a dynamic local
  53. variables browser, a methods browser, a breakpoints browser, and much
  54. more.  (The dynamic local variables browser gives users the ability
  55. to easily inspect and trace dynamic variables.)

  57. SuperDebugger 3.8 also features a simple interface for setting
  58. conditional breakpoints, and enhancements such as the ability to
  59. bring up a header file by double-clicking on a source class in the
  60. methods browser.  SuperDebugger 3.8 is very easy to use, and
  61. includes an extensive help facility with illustrated instructions
  62. on how to use each program feature.  SuperDebugger 3.8 can also be
  63. easily set as the ProjectBuilder's default debugger so that it
  64. starts up automatically when the "Debug" button is pressed in the
  65. ProjectBuilder.

  68. upgrade to SuperDebugger 3.8. (SuperDebugger 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8
  69. all use the same set of license keys.)
